Since our two events for consultation with parishioners in February and March, we have been lying low, getting feedback from that event and establishing where we go from here.
The next stage is writing the actual draft plan, using all the reports and data collected so far. We have just put out our Call for Sites, which is on bus shelters, outside the shop and on parish noticeboards, as well as being posted to main landowners and out on the website. The deadline for anyone wishing to make an application is Friday 9 October, so please spread the word on this. We have now managed to receive a second annual grant from Locality, the local government Neighbourhood Planning initiative. This will allow us to get professional help from our Landscape architect Lucy Batchelor-Wylam, in doing landscape studies of the sites coming forward from this Call, and also get help from Cambridgeshire ACRE, led by Rachel Hogger, on our actual plan writing, which we hope to carry out this financial year. It will also pay for publication and printing costs, as well as our website. There will then be another consultation and presentation to council, hopefully early next year, before the plan can be finalised and put out to referendum, for being accepted as part of the Local Plan with SCDC.
